The engine is practically usable now so I've switched it's status to beta. It's been a long road and it's profoundly relieving to actually have it in this state.

This is a short post because I'm still cleaning up a few odds and ends but nonetheless this is a major milestone.

Hopefully you'll see something prettier in the near future!
